4/99 Manor Farmhouse

House. Late C17, altered late C20. Red brick, painted white on rear
and return elevations. Tile hung first floor, and plain tiled roofs.
Irregular L-shaped plan, with stair well and C20 porch in re-entrant
angle. Main elevation: 2 storeys on plinth with plat band and tile
hung first floor, with hipped roof and central stack. Five glazing bar
sashes on first floor, 4 on ground floor with basket-arched relieving
arches, and French Doors to centre Entrance front: panelled door with
sidelights in C20 porch. Stair wells part rebuilt, and rear wing with
plinth, plat band and hipped roof. Interior: rear wing with stop
chamfered beams and large inglenooks. Some early C19 reeded door
surrounds, and late C17 moulded door surrounds. Open well staircases
late C17, with closed string, square newels, moulded rail, and bulbous
turned balusters, with half-landings and rising through 2 storeys.
