GV II

Terraced house. Late C18/early C19. Yellow stock brick with later
patching; evidence of tuck pointing. 4 storeys and basement. 4
windows. Ground floor with early C19 shop front with pilasters 4
panelled stallboard; glazing altered and C20 fascia probably
covering original cornice. Shop door ½ glazed with overlight; house
door to right panelled with overlight. To right, vehicle entrance
to Wardour Mews. Gauged brick flat arches to recessed sashes with
original glazing bars. Rebuilt parapet. Rear facade of multi-
coloured stock brick; segmental arches to recessed sashes. Timber
frame to vehicle entrance. Shop interior altered in C20. House
entrance with dog-leg stair having column newels and stick balusters,
rising full height of house from 1st floor. Mostly original form
plan with corner chimney breasts in 1st and 2nd floor left hand back
rooms. 1st floor front rooms, sashes with splayed reveals and
panelled aprons; cast iron hob fireplaces with plain wooden chimney
pieces.
