C17. Three bay barn with added 2 bay floored over cartshed and outshut to rear.
Timber-framed with red brick infilling to lower part of central bay. Stone base.
The rest is weather boarded. Gabled roof with Horsham slabs, partly replaced with
tiles on the north side. The roof structure is clasped purlin and curved windbrace.
Jowled corner posts. A series of long carpenter's assembly marks. (See Domestic
Buildings Research Group Report No 196. Joan M Harding "Four Centuries of
Charlwood Houses" p 92)
