Founded 1794, rebuilt 1875, part of a group of almshouses, a long range
facing south at right angles to road. Nos 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 14 of 2
storeys
the others one storey and attic. Steep pitch gable end slate roofs Gables
to front on 2 storey ones with finials. Red brick, stone dressings. Grouped
diagonally set chimneys. Slit attic windows. Semi dormers to Nos 8, 9 and
10. Doors have ornate iron hinges, shaped arches. Stone bracketed hoods.

Nos 1 to 14 (consec) Hussey's Almshouses form a group.
