- and attached workshop

GV II

Cottage and workshop. C17 and C18 respectively with later alterations
and additions. Timber framed cottage with plaster infill panels and red
brick workshop; plain tile roof; rendered ridge stack and external end
stack. 3 framed bay baffle-entry plan cottage aligned east-west facing
south. A C20 western extension links the cottage to an C18 workshop aligned
north-south. House. One storey and attic, 3 square panels to eaves with
straight braces. Irregular fenestration: central early C20 square bay
window with lean-to roof, small window to the right, 4 early to mid-C20
gabled dormers. Glazed door to the left, plank door to left of centre
in front of the stack. C20 single-storey extension to the left. C18
casements to the rear. Interior. The workshop retains a forge. The
cottage and workshop are reputed to have been occupied by a wheelwright.
