Stable and attached yard walls. Mid-late C19. Red brick in Flemish
bond; corrigated asbestos roof. One storey, 6 bay. Alternatively doorways
and windows, the doorways with stable doors, small-pane overlights, and
chamfered surrounds with segmental heads; the windows with vertical glazing
bars and chamfered surrounds. Stepped dentilled eaves. Right bay masked
by later shelter shed which is not of special interest. Attached to
front of stable is brick wall forming shallow yard with a gateway to
each side (replacement gates not of special interest) and attached to
front (east side) of this wall are 2 brick troughs and a wall running
eastwards towards pigstye range (qv). The walls have chamfered plinths,
rounded brick coping, and ramped sections. The stable and yard walls
form an integral part of the contemporary farm yard and are included
for group value.
