Farmhouse. C16 with C18 and C19 additions and C20 alterations. Coursed
squared and rubble gritstone, pantile and C20 concrete tile roof. Of
2 builds: a 3-bay house, the 2 right-hand bays having a steep roof with
attic rooms, the left bay rebuilt to 2 full storeys. Left bay of coursed
squared stones: board door with overlight right, 20-pane sash in flush
architrave with projecting sill to left, ground and first floor. Pantile
roof. Bays 2 and 3 of rubble stone: three C20 small-pane windows to ground
floor. 2 dormers above, concrete tile roof. End stack to left and between
bays 2 and 3. Interior not inspected at resurvey but reported to have
remains of a timber-framed building including end posts, tie beams and
smoke-blackened rafters in bays 2 and 3. North Yorkshire and Cleveland
