Cottage. Early C18. Plastered cob on rubble footings; rubble stacks topped with
C19 brick; thatched roof. 2-room plan cottage facing south-east with central stair
plan. End stacks. 2 storeys. Irregular 3-window front of C20 casements, most
without glazing bars. Doorway right of centre now contains C20 door. Right (north-
east) stack of exposed rubble projecting from end. Gables each end are
weatherboarded.
Interior largely result of C20 modernisation but original features can be seen and
more (including both fireplaces) are hidden. Right room has chamfered and runout
stopped beam and original roof is intact. A-frame trusses with pegged lap-jointed
collars and X-apexes.
