Grange Farmhouse.

Farmhouse and farm cottage, c. 1700; and early C19 farm cottage adjoining
right. Now 3 holiday cottages. Dressed sandstone; Welsh slate roofs with
stone gable copings. Block kneelers to farm cottages; moulded kneeler at
left end of farmhouse. Rebuilt brick end stacks. 2 storeys. Farmhouse
(No. 2), 2 windows. Blocked doorway to left, originally shared with
cottage; now entered from rear. Window mullions removed and now holding
horizontal sashes with glazing bars, altered to casements. First-floor
windows in reduced openings, lower parts bricked up. Chamfered lintels on
ground floor. Coved eaves cornice. Farm cottage (No. 1) adjoining left,
one window. Entered from rear. Horizontal sash with glazing bars, altered
to casement, on ground floor. Blocked first-floor opening below early/mid
C20 gabled full dormer with casement window. Higher farm cottage (No. 3)
adjoining right of farmhouse. 2 windows. Doorway to left; sashes with
glazing bars, that on ground floor renewed. Rear shows round-headed stair
window with brick arch and sash with intersecting glazing bars. Late C20
wood porch adjoining rear of No. 3, is not of interest. Farm outbuildings
to north-west are not of interest. No. 2 formerly known as Skelton Grange
Farmhouse.
