House and barn, now garage. Early C18 with C20 alterations. Coursed
squared gritstone, graduated stone slate roof. 2-storey, 3-bay house, right
bay taller; l-bay barn to left. House: right bay: quoins; C20 porch to
left; 3-light mullion windows - chamfered to ground floor, flat-fronted to
first floor. Gable coping and shaped kneeler to right; end stacks. 2 left-
hand bays: windows as before of 2, 2 and 3 lights to each floor; gable
coping and kneeler between bays 1 and 2; stacks to ridge beween bays and to
left end. Former barn: C20 garage doors; 2-light mullion window above.
Gable coping and kneeler to left. The house was probably built as a 1-bay
structure with outbuildings to left. Single-bay houses of similar type
survive at Dacre: Lane Foot Farmhouse (qv) and Eastwoods (qv), both early
C18.
