of Abbey Lodge

Former tower to Bewerly Hall, now garden tower. Late C19. Ashlar with ashlar dressings. 2
storey with moulded parapet. Round tower, with flat wall to west where tower adjoined
the Hall ( now demolished ). East front has a 2 light casement in ashlar surround with
Tudor hood mould, above a false cross arrow split with a similar 2 light casement above
To the north a single doorway with plank door, and to the South a single lancet with Tudor
hood mould to each floor. This tower is one of the few remaining fragments of Bewerley Hall,
demolished 1924.
