Early C19. 3 storeys. Bath stone. Strings at lst and 2nd floor cill levels.
Projecting frieze, moulded cornice. Tall parapet, panelled over windows,
and with shallow pilasters between panels, moulded secondary cornice, broken
forward over pilasters. Blocking course. 3 windows 4 panes wide x 4, on
2nd floor, with blind windows between them. 5 windows on 1st floor, 4 panes
wide x 5. Symmetrical shop front on ground floor, with 3 shop windows, no
glazing bars and 2 double doors in 2nd and 4th bays, the windows and doors
framed by engaged, fluted Greek Doric columns, and wide outer angle piers,
carrying entablature across front.
Name painted on frieze. Return front to Albion Place has similar design,
but plain stone ground floor and 2 windows flanking 2 central blind ones to
upper floors. 1 window to left hand and 2 blind, on ground floor.
Adjoining to rear on Sheep Street 2 small houses now part of same property Cl7
refaced Cl8 in red brick and grey headers. 3 storeys. Small brick plinth,
projecting brick bands between storeys and stepped brick eaves cornice. Gable
end pantile roof. 2 windows to upper floors, 3 light stone mullioned casements
with red brick dressings and segmental arches. Grey header relieving arches
over Ist floor windows. Ground floor has 2 paired Cl9 sash windows camber
headed. Plain doors either end. To rear timber framing visible.

Nos 23 to 28 (consec), Nos 1 to 3 (consec) Albion Place and No 29 form a group.
