(Same premises) Late C18/early Cl9. No 117: 2 storeys red brick on painted
stone plinth. lst floor sill course. Shallow eaves cornice to gable end
slate roof. Hipped dormer with slate cheeks. 2 windows 1st floor, recessed
sashes, no glazing bars. Ground floor has frame of mid Cl9 shop front with
pilasters on pedestals, frieze and projecting moulded cornice. 2 light plate
glass window. Recessed door of 4 flush panels, 2 glazed, blind fanlight under
semi-circular arch. Blocked window to right.
No 119 perhaps slightly earlier. 2 storeys red brick on stone plinth. Taller
than No 117. Band between storeys and plain eaves cornice. Half hipped tiled
roof. 3 windows lst floor, centre blind, recessed sashes, no glazing bars,
block sills. Ground floor: door to left of 4 panels, rectangular fanlight,
flat brick arch over. Window to left of centre as on lst floor. Central recessed
door of 4 panels, 2 glazed, blind semi-circular fanlight. Flat hood on fine
long scroll brackets. 2 light shop window to right framed by fluted pilasters,
frieze and projecting cornice.
