Detached house. Late C17, refronted mid C18, reroofed early C20.
Timber-framed, rebuilt in Flemish bond brick with stone dressings,
Bridgwater tiled roof with brick stacks. Two-storey, 4-window.
Door with 6 fielded panels to right of centre in cyma-moulded
architrave with flat stone hood on brackets, 3-light cyma-mullioned
casement either side. Plat band to first floor; three 2-light
mullioned casements plus one blocked to left. Left return has 3-
light segmental-headed casement to ground and first floor, part of
timber-framing retained. Right return has two 2-light mullioned
casements to ground and first floors, moulded brick string courses,
two bull's eyes and an illegible datestone to attic. Rear is
partly timber-framed, C19 extensions with casements and planked
doors.
Interior has timber-framed partitions, timber-framed former rear
external wall exposed in kitchen, chamfered beams with exposed,
joists to ground floor, original stairs with closed string, turned
balusters and moulded handrail. Four-bay collar and tie-beam roof
with windbracing.
