Farmhouse. Mid C16, extended mid and late C17. Square-panelled
timber framing with brick nogging, partly pebbledashed, stone slate
roof with stone and brick stacks. T-plan. Two-storey, 2-window.
C19 gabled porch with 6-panelled door to right of C17 front,
sidelights, 4-light casement to left. First floor has 3-light and
4-light casement, triple-gabled roof, the right hand gable larger.
Left return has segmental-headed casement, 2-light casement and 2-
light wood mullioned window to ground floor, 3-light and 2-light
first floor casements, part of timber-frame exposed. C16 cross
range to right has stone plinth with short buttresses, early C20
five-light casement to ground floor and 3-light to first of gable
end, right return facing Church Street has C20 casements to dressed
limestone ground floor to right of large lateral stone stack with
offsets, timber-framing to left of stack with tension braces,
timber-framed first floor has three 2-light casements. C17 rear
wing with square-panelled timber-frame on rubble stone plinth, rear
has inserted garage door and casements to first floor. Rear of
main range has early C20 lean-to extension.
Interior has chamfered beams in C17 ranges, moulded beams in C16
range, open fireplaces. Front gable end of C16 wing originally
jettied, altered C19.
