Two semi-detached cottages in row. Late C16. Square-panelled
timber-framing with painted brick nogging, pantiled roof with brick
stack to right. Two-storey, 3-window. No 2 has planked door, in
Flemish bond brick added bay, to right, 2-light casement either
side, No 4 has 6-panelled door with 2-light casement to left.
First floor has three 2-light casements. Left return has 3-light
ground floor casement, 2-light to first floor. Rear wall rebuilt
in brick, single-storey extensions.
Interior of No 2 has planked doors with strap hinges, deep
chamfered beams, partly blocked open fireplace, door with 2 fielded
panels and cupboard with fielded panelled doors in room to left of
entrance. Stairs with turned balusters against rear wall.
Interior of No 4 not accessible at time of survey (February 1987).
