Dovecote and stable, now stables, with attached shelter shed. Late
C17, mid C19 shelter shed. Random rubble stone, stone slate hipped
roofs to stables; 7-bay shelter shed built at right angles to
latter, is Flemish bond brick with Bridgwater tiled roof. Single-
storey. Square stable to north of group has large segmental-headed
opening with no door to west side, bull's eye either side, planked
loft door over, square-headed opening with flanking bulls' eyes and
loft door over to east side, concrete block lean-to added to north.
Short single-storey stable links north and south stables; planked
door to east, two bulls' eyes to west, continuously chamfered
plinth. South stable, formerly a dovecote, has planked stable door
to west side, blocked openings to rear, cupola to roof removed
1960s. shelter shed attached to former dovecote has 7-bay open
front facing stock yard on south side.
Interior of former dovecote lined with stone pigeon boxes, stable
on north side has wooden mangers along walls, probably always used
as a stable; both units now used for rearing calves.
