Farmhouse. c1730 with C19 and C20 alterations. Pebbledash rubble, stone dressings
stone slate roof. Central staircase plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central entrance has
moulded surround, segmental arched lintel, mid-C20 door. Datestone above is
1730s style, but inscription badly weathered, only 'H' legible. Flanking ground
floor 3-light recessed flat faced mullioned windows, 8 pane sashes and fixed
lights. 3 upper floor windows, all 2 light recessed flat faced mullioned,
8 pane sashes and fixed lights. Mid-C19 paired eaves modillions. Left-hand
gable end and right-hand stack of former gable, now at junction with westhouse
Lodge Cottage (qv).
