Parish boundary stone. Probably early- to mid-C19. Painted millstone grit
slab c 1 metre high and c 1 metre wide. 2 horizontal scored lines between which
is inscribed:
'THORNTON and 'BURTON
IN IN
LONSDALE' LONSDALE'
separated by a vertical v-shaped groove. Chamfered arrises. Rear is plain.
