Detached cottage. C18 with C19 repairs. Cob; south elevation and east
wall repaired with Flemish garden wall band brick. Straw thatch roof
with plain ridge, eyebrow dormers and western brick stack. 1½ storeys.
2 windows. Symmetrical facade. Central vertically boarded rough timber
porch with corrugated iron roof and part-glazed door; flanked by
flush-framed 2-light casements, that to west under a timber lintel,
that to east under a cambered brick arch. Corresponding dormers of
similar 2-light casements. Eastern elevation has a small 4-pane flush
framed casement at 1st floor above a vertically boarded rough timber
outshut with corrugated iron roof. North elevation has 2-light flush
framed casement to west and a small casement to the east, both at
ground floor level. Western elevation has a single high 2-pane
casement. Interior of 1 full depth room with open fireplace to the
west, to the east a room sub-divided to provide a staircase to the
rear. 2 1st floor rooms. Contemporary joinery including doors and
ironmongery.
