5/103 Shippon 30 metres east
of Riley Bank farmhouse.
GV II
Shippon, probably later C18, of coursed sandstone with replaced
asbestos roof. 2 storeys plus attic. Flush quoins. Some openings to
lower storey blocked and some altered. 2 boarded sliding doors; 1
boarded divided door; small-pane iron hopper windows, most under wedge
lintels but that to left under flat arch with voussoirs. 7
pitching-eyes to hayloft with projecting stone surrounds. Loophole
vents. A blocked pitching eye in each end gable. Open-ended leanto
shed with stone wall at rear partly rebuilt in brick.
