End.

Guidepost, probably 1870's by W H Smith and Co., Whitchurch,
Shropshire; cast iron. Octagonal shaft with plinth and cap.
Square-ended cast iron plates: Helsby 2 Alvanley 1 1/2; Mouldsworth 2
Chester 11; Liverpool Hospital Kingswood 3 (with added plate Crossley
Hospital Kingswood; Frodsham 3. All lettering raised sans-serif
capitals. Ball finial. Overall height circa 2 metres.
