Description


The following buildings shall be included:

Shops and dwelling. Mid C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Red brick with plain-
tile roof and rear lateral and end stacks. Main block a 3-storey 2-window range
of C19 4-pane sashes under painted gauged brick flat arches. C20 shop front
below. Brick dentilled eaves. Twin gables with 2-light casements face rear.
Single-storey C19 section links to 2-storey rear wing with further single-storey
extension. Various casements and doors. On gable of rear wing facing street are
pigeon holes and perches suggesting this may have originally been a stable and
loft. Interior: cased beams on 1st floor, end visible outside; winder stair
1st to 2nd floor; C18 doors; roof only partly visible but massive purlin and
coupled rafters seen, purlin ends visible outside. Rear more altered but the odd
beam remains.
