Pair of cottages. Probably C18, possibly C17. Ground floor level is English
bond brick with some burnt headers giving a banded effect in places, some
sandstone footings show in the middle of the front. Timber-framing above if
plastered on the front and hung with peg-tiles each end. Brick stacks and
chimneyshafts. Peg-tile roof.
Plan: Pair of contemporary cottages facing south east. One-room plan
cottages, each a mirror plan of the other. Central doorways and projecting
gable-end stacks.
2 storeys with service outshots to rear.
Exterior: Symmetrical,,3-window front of C19 casements with glazing bars and
doorways both have plain C19 plank doors.
Interiors: Not inspected.
An attractive pair of unmodernised farm labourer's cottages.
