This photo is claimed to have been taken in 1904. The height of the trees and the fact that the Municipal War memorial cannot be seen in the mid distance and non of the houses on Victoria Embankment seem to have been built suggest 1904 is the correct date. The gates may then have been part of the Embankment Original Design ??
Even so this BLB listing gives another date ??
