piers to Old Rectory

GV II

Boundary wall, railings and gate piers. Early C19, altered mid
C19. Brick, partly rendered, with stone slab coping. The wall
follows Village Road eastwards approx 30m, then runs south
approx 80m, enclosing the entrance court and garden.
Village road length, rendered brick. At the east angle, a
blocked gateway with a pair of square brick piers, painted. To
left, a gateway with a pair of square brick piers with cornice
caps, and wooden gates. Inside, a curving brick wall enclosing
the entrance court, with a square pier and a round-arched
doorway. Length to south, brick with cast-iron coping and
wrought-iron railing.
