House. c1500, altered C18 and late C19. Coursed squared stone
with ashlar and brick dressings and plain tile roof. Renewed
brick ridge and gable stacks. Plinth and single brick-coped
gable. 2 storeys; 2 bays. In the centre, a Tudor arched ashlar
doorway, flanked to left by a small casement. To right, a
larger casement in an altered opening, then a blocked door.
Above, two closely spaced Yorkshire sashes, 2 lights. All this
joinery is C19. Left gable has a blocked window to the garret,
with ashlar surround and label mould. Below, a C20 window and
a blocked opening.
Pevsner suggests this building may be a chantry house.
