Formerly known as: Friends' Meeting House WOODHOUSE LANE.
Quaker meeting house, now studios. 1866-68, converted C20. By
Edward Birchall. Ashlar, slate roof. Classical style. 2
storeys, 5 x 6 bays. Ground floor projects. Central entrance
with Tuscan columns supporting entablature with arcaded
pediment, round arch doorway and flanking windows between
columns, 2 windows each side. 1st floor: plate-glass sashes in
moulded architraves with cornice hoods on console brackets.
Modillion cornice and large pediment with round window, squat
rusticated chimneys at corners.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
The area was known as Carlton Hill.
