War memorial. c1920. Gritstone. In the style of a medieval
pilgrims' cross. Octagonal base with recessed panels, the
front panel with raised lettering: 'TO THE/ GLORY OF GOD/ AND
IN MEMORY/ OF THOSE/ WHO DIED FOR US/ IN THE/ GREAT WAR/ 1914,
1918'. Tall tapering cross shaft surmounted by floriate cross
on carved octagonal plinth. The shaft has a carved shield with
anchor and papal cross surmounted by a crown.
