Pair of cottages. Late C18, altered C19 and C20. Rendered
stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 first-floor windows.
Each has a central wooden lattice porch and flanking windows
to ground and 1st floor. No.34 (right) has probably original
short upper-floor windows with central mullion and sash
frames, a single-light window between. No.36 (left) has
lowered sills and modern casements. Gable copings, central and
end rendered brick stacks.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Possibly linked with Ross Mills on the Leeds and Liverpool
Canal just to the north.
