Statue of Queen Victoria. Dated 1905. Sculptor GW Milburn of York. White marble on red sandstone base. Figure life-size, seated, with sceptre, orb and crown. Nose now missing. Base of rectangular plan, concave-sided on elevation. Front inscribed:

'ERECTED BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION... QUEEN VICTORIA....BORN 1819. ASCENDED THE THRONE 1837. DIED 1901.'

The left-hand side has a panel carved with a shield of arms of the City of York.
