House. early C19. Red brick, rendered on front and
English-bond rear wall with steep, hipped gambrel plain tile
roof and 2 brick stacks to rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic and cellar; 3-window range;
long one-storey-and-attic outbuilding range to rear. Front has
2 dormers with 2-light C20 casement windows with central
horizontal glazing bars. Painted brick modillioned cornice.
1st floor has 3 sash windows, each with a single central
vertical glazing bar. Ground floor has 2 similar windows and a
central doorcase with semicircular-headed reeded surround and
segmental fanlight; C19 hood on consoles, 3 stone steps and
door of 4 raised-and-fielded panels over 2 moulded panels and
old lock on inside. Rear wall has 2 large red-brick stacks.
Rear wing near south-east is of red brick with some grey
headers on south-east side, C20 casements, one 16-pane sash
and square small-paned bay window on this south-east face.
Roof is gabled with plain tiles.
INTERIOR: central entrance hall has dogleg stairs with turned
balusters. North-west front room with elliptical-headed niches
either side of C19 fireplace. Internal window between
stairs/attic of 6 panes and leaded old glass. Rear wing has
large C19 kitchen fireplace with mantel shelf.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: low iron spearheaded railings with end
finials attached to each end of front and handrails to door
with boot scrapers. Red-brick attached boundary wall to
south-east end.
