House, now part of restaurant. Early C16, altered and
refronted in C18; further alterations in early C19 and C20.
Altered C19 shopfront. Timber-framed, fronted in orange brick
in Flemish bond with moulded timber eaves cornice, returned at
right end; hipped tiled roof.
EXTERIOR: 3-storey 2-window front. Shopfront has horizontal
sliding sash window of 2x4-pane lights over external counter
and half-glazed plank stable door to right. First and second
floor windows are 12-pane sashes with painted sills and
painted channelled wedge lintels.
INTERIOR: ground floor front room has exposed ogee-stopped
chamfered beams and posts, and stud partition wall with No.12
(qv).
