Pair of houses, possibly formerly one house. Early C19.
Painted stucco, slate roof with tall rendered stacks to gable
ends and 3 small gabled dormers with slate-hung cheeks and
2-light casement windows. Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic; symmetrical 3-window range,
(No.85 to the left has incised stucco and one window, No.87,
two windows). Moulded eaves cornice; thin forward frames to
6/6-pane sash windows; plat band (removed from No.85);
set-back paired doors with overlights, No.85 has an early C19
doorcase with 2-pane overlight, zig-zag moulding to the
lintel, and eccentric mouldings to the panels of the door. The
panels of the door to No.87 are C20 boarded-over.
