Mirrored pair of houses. c1845-50. Brick with painted stone
and timber dressings. Slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys plus attic and cellars. Each house 2 bays.
The windows to the upper storeys are glazing bar sashes with
brick flat arches. On the ground floor there are white-painted
canted bay windows on brick bases which contain cellar
windows. Each house has 2 flat-roofed dormers. The paired
central doorcases have Ionic pilasters with acanthus necking
and a cornice with egg-and-dart moulding. The recessed 4-panel
doors have overlights. Gable chimneys.
