House, forming part of terraced row; with attached verandah. c1826-30; altered. Painted stucco, slate roof with brick chimneys to left. Double-depth single-fronted plan with back extension. 2 storeys and 2 windows; moulded gutter cornice. Simple 4-bay wooden verandah with angle-struts and lead-clad roof. The ground floor has a square-headed doorway to the right with panelled half-glazed door, and a large canted bay window with 4-pane sashed glazing; the 1st floor has a pair of small 4-pane sashed windows. INTERIOR: not inspected. Adjoins No.9 to the right (qv) and No.11 to the left (qv). All the listed buildings in Marine Crescent, together with those in Adelaide Terrace, Bath Street, Beach Lawn and Marine Terrace, form a group in the Waterloo Conservation Area of Crosby.
