Pair of cottages. Probably earlier C18; enlarged and altered.
Uncoursed sandstone rubble with quoins, some red brick;
graduated slate roof with brick chimneys. Double-depth 2-unit
plan.
2 low storeys, 1+1 windows; with quoins to right-hand corner.
Each has one 3-light casement on each floor, those at ground
floor with segmental heads made of a single course of handmade
brick headers; No.26 has a doorway to the right of its window,
with similar head, No.24 has a doorway in the right-hand gable
wall. Gable chimney to right, ridge chimney at junction to
left.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Collectively all the buildings in Little Crosby Conservation
Area form a valuable group of similar scale but varied dates,
materials and style.
