front of Nos.104 and 106 (106 not

Garden railings to Nos 104 (qv) and 106 (not included);
carriage gates and gate piers to No.106. Early/mid C19. Iron,
mostly cast, on a base of red brick, rendered in front of
No.104. The railings are square in section with spearhead
finials and cast panels of fret and anthemion decoration. In
front of No.104 there are 4 panels, and in front of No.106
there is one panel. The same railings with dog bars and arch
braces comprise carriage gates to No.106; similar panels form
square openwork gate piers. No.104 has no gates.
Included for group value as an integral part of No.104 Heworth
Green (qv).
