House, incorporated in terraced row. Probably later C19
remodelling of mid C19 house. Painted stucco, slate roof.
Rectangular plan at right-angles to axis of terrace.
Two-and-a-half storeys, an unsymmetrical gabled facade
dominated by a 2-storey canted bay window; with a 1st-floor
sill-band, a dentilled cornice to the bay, and wavy
bargeboards to the gable with an apex finial. The canted bay
has 4-light sashed glazing at 1st floor, French windows at
ground floor flanked by similar sashes and a sunk panel over
each ground floor opening. Left of the bay is a
segmental-headed doorway at ground floor and a narrow sashed
window above. The top floor has 2 sashed windows. All sashed
windows without glazing bars.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms a group with No.1 to the right (qv) and Nos 3-19
(consec) to the left (qv). All the listed buildings in
Adelaide Terrace, together with those in Bath Street, Beach
Lawn, Marine Crescent and Marine Terrace, form a group in the
Waterloo Conservation Area of Crosby.
