The Woolpack Public House

GV II

House, now public house. c1845. Red brick to front elevation,
mottled brick to side elevation. Hipped slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and 2 bays. On the ground floor there is a
single tripartite glazing bar sash window. The 1st floor
windows are sashed, and the 2nd floor has C20 tilting windows.
The doorway, at the right, has a pilaster doorcase with
modillioned cornice, a boarded door, and a rectangular
overlight. The timber gutter is carried on rectangular
brackets. Chimney near centre of roof. The left-hand return
wall, facing Kent Street, has one bay towards the left which
has windows similar to those to the front elevation. Further
left there is a lower 2-storey rear wing.
