Farmhouse, now guesthouse. Early C17, extended 1905 and altered early C20. Whitewashed rubble, with painted gritstone dressings. Slate and C20 tile roof with one brick and 2 stone stacks. PLAN: originally T-plan, main range and crosswing, with cross passage entrance; the principal room to right and the services to left. Later a small staircase extension was made within the front north-west angle, and in 1905 a wing was added to the rear of the house. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. South garden front has 3 windows arranged 1:2, and projecting gable to left with 2 irregular windows and above a single window. Set back to right, rear wing has doorway to left with C20 door, and 2 windows to right, above two 2-light casements. Re-entrant angle to left has small staircase window with glazing bars. North entrance front, original house projects to right with single square bay window with cross casements and small window to right. Above a 2-light casement. Left gable has plain sash with 2-light casement above. West front of later wing has 2-light casement with above timber square oriel window with 3 casements and a flat roof, to left another casement. North gable front has doorway with cross casement to right and above a central similar casement. All windows have late C19 casements with diamond leaded lights. INTERIOR: retains many original features including enclosed roof with truss visible, with queen struts and pegged principals. 2 round headed wooden door cases survive; one to 1st floor the other to ground. Ground floor has corbelled stone fireplace to principal room, front right. Kitchen with ovolo moulded beam, and exposed joists, salt box to chimney breast, splay window and flag floor. The fireplace with C19 ornate carved surround.
