Farmhouse, now house. Late C17 with late C18 addition and C20
alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings
and synthetic roof tiles to left build and stone slates to
right, with stone stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Quoins. Main front, 4 windows arranged
2:2, with projecting late C18 block to right. This block has
central doorway with C20 lean-to porch with glazing bars
flanked by single 3-light mullion casement windows. Above a
central oval plaque flanked by similar 3-light mullion
windows. Earlier block set back to left has central 3-light
casement in chamfered ashlar surround flanked by doorways with
C20 lean-to porches with glazing bars. Above a 2-light
casement and to left a 10-pane window with iron glazing bars.
Projecting outbuilding wing to left with various irregularly
spaced casement windows, and front gable with large garage
doors and a casement above.
Rear has 5 windows some with small paned glazing. Single
storey extension obscures a single window with chamfered
surround and a 2-light window with chamfered mullion and
surround.
INTERIOR: has first floor corridor with exposed massive rough
hewn purlin and rafters to rear wall. Timber lintels to
doorways with plank doors and some windows. Ground floor of
differing levels. Some of the beams are chamfered, some are
roughly hewn. 2 fire areas remain.
