Barn immediately north east of Prospect Farmhouse

Barn with attached stables and cart-shed. Circa late C18 or early C19. Coursed stone rubble. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends. 3-bay barn with threshing floor in centre bay and with stable and cart-shed in later C19 wing built on south west. The north east and south west fronts have full-height cart entrances with wooden frames with cambered heads and remains of plank doors; vertical ventilation slits to left and right and in gable ends, the south east end has small loft door in gable. Lower stable wing on left of south west front with doorway on front with loft doorway above; cart-shed on end of stable with blocked, formerly open gable end. INTERIOR: Barn has 3-bay tie-beam and collar roof trusses with angle-struts; the central threshing floor flanked by low brick walls with sole-plate on top and long raking struts up to the tie-beams, dividing the bays; tenoned purlins and ridgepiece and common-rafters intact.
