Row of 3 adjoining cottages. Probably C17, No. 5 possibly C18. Stone rubble and
some cob. Continuous slate roof with gable ends. No. 3 has 2 tall rear lateral
stone rubble stacks, one with bread oven projection, No. 4 has a rear lateral stone
rubble stack and stone rubble stack at right end, No. 5 has stone rubble stack at
right gable end.
No. 3 and 4 both small 3-room and cross passage plans, no. 3 has had passage
partition removed. No. 5 of 2 rooms, with direct entry into right-hand heated room.
2 storeys. 6-window range in all. Stone rubble porches with leanto slate roofs.
No. 3 and 4 have 2-light casements 2 panes per light. No. 5 has a 2-light casement
2 panes per light on each floor to left and a 2-light casement 4 panes per light to
each floor to right of porch. No. 3-5 are an interesting row of relatively unspoilt
early tenement cottages.
