Farmhouse, now Cottage. Early-mid C17, remodelled in late C19. Plastered cob and
rubble; cob or rubble stacks topped with C19 brick; thatched roof. L-shaped
building with main block facing south-west and rear block at right angles irregular
plan, comprising 2-room front block, small lobby to left (possibly passage, hall
and inner room of earlier farmhouse) and 2-room rear block. C19 and C20
alterations obscure early arrangement. Axial stack to left of front block and
gable-end stack to right and lateral stack to rear block. 2 storeys. 3-window
front of C19 and C20 casements of various size including C20 French windows at left
end. C19 door right of centre with late C19 porch with trellis sides and shaped
bargeboards. Rear block has door through projecting stack. Main front room has
double-ovolo moulded beam and rear room has chamfered beam with scroll stops. End
room of rear block was formerly dairy with hayloft above. Roof inaccessible.
