Late Cl8 or early Cl9 cottage, 1 storey and basement, 2 windows. Red brick
with diaper of blue headers. Fairly low-pitched, near-pyramidal slate roof
with slightly overhanging eaves. 3-light sash windows with glazing bars under
restored, gauged brick arches. 4 steps, with ornamental cast iron railing,
to door of 6 fielded panels. Segmental fanlight, with quasi-radial bars, under
segmental brick arch in segment-headed recess. Brick plinth, 1-storey garage
extension at right.

Franklow, Burlings Cottage and the outhouse and wall to Burlings Cottage
form a group.
