ST 9958 POTTERNE CHILSBURY LANE

14/121 No 2 (Pilgrims Cottage)

Cottage, C16, extended c1980, rubble stone with some timber-framing
and thatched roof, half-hipped to west. Stack at original east
end. C20 thatched cross wing. Single storey and attic. South
front has timber-framed dormer with leaded casement pair and ground
floor ovolo-moulded stone mullion windows, 2-light, single-light
and 2-light. Original door and 3-light timber-mullion window
beyond are now within C20 extension. West end has timber-framing
in gable and 2-light timber mullion window. Ground floor has 2-
light stone mullion window, reusing old mullion and jambs.
Timber-framed gable to north front and one 2-light stone mullion
window.
