House, now nursing home. c1850. Brick with stone and painted
stone dressings. Hipped slate roof.
EXTERIOR: symmetrical, of 2 storeys and 3 bays, with stone
plinth and 1st floor sill band. The windows are glazing bar
sashes with brick flat arches. The pilaster doorcase has a
plain frieze, bracketed cornice, and panelled reveals. The
door is panelled and partly glazed, and has a plain
rectangular overlight. 2 chimneys behind ridge. The left-hand
return wall, facing Heslington Road, is of 2 bays and has
glazing bar sash windows. Large C20 rear wing.
