House, later two shops and now in single ownership. C17, refronted in early C19 when a rear range was added and with C20 ground floor windows and doors. Front range is original timberframed building refronted in brick, front painted, with tile-hanging to first floor south elevation and north gable. Tiled roof, half-hipped to south with central brick chimneystack. Two storeys and attics; 3 windows. Three gabled dormers with C19 casements. First floor has three 16-pane sashes. Ground floor has two C19 twenty-pane shopfronts and C20 doors in side elevations. C19 narrow range to rear is partly of brick, partly weatherboarded and partly tile-hung and has 2 early C19 leaded light casements on pintle hinges. Interior of front range has large sandstone back to back open fireplace. Timberframe with jowled posts, stop chamfers to spine beams and curved windbraces within butt purlin roof.
