House. Probably C18 with late C19 extension. Plastered cob on rubble footings;
stone rubble stacks topped with C19 and C20 brick; thatch roof.
Originally a 2-room plan house with central staircase plan facing south. Right
(east) end stack and left (west) room has rear lateral stack. Late C19 1-room
extension with rear lateral stack on left end. 2 storeys. Balanced, not quite
symmetrical, 3-window front to original house with central C19 6-panel part-glazed
door behind C20 porch with monopitch roof of asbestos tile. Windows including
single ground floor window to extension comprise a variety of late C19 and C20
casements mostly with glazing bars. Roof is gable-ended to left and hipped to
right. The ridge and eaves rise from left to right at junction of main house with
extension.
Interior: has plain carpentry detail where exposed. Both fireplaces in original
house are large, built of rubble and have plain oak lintels. Brick fireplace with
segmental arch in extension. Roof not inspected.
